Garnacho celebrates goal with nod to Ronaldo Di Maria had warned winger to 'do like Messi does'United youngster caught in eternal Messi-Ronaldo debateWHAT HAPPENED?
Di Maria had advised the 19-year-old to drop any celebrations that imitated Ronaldo, insisting his Argentina team-mate should instead "do like Lionel Messi does", but when Garnacho struck United's third in their romp against the Hammers on Sunday he raced to sit on an advertising hoarding, echoing one of Ronaldo's famous poses from his time at Real Madrid.

Garnacho has found himself somewhat on the crosshairs in one of football's great rivalries. The youngster shared a dressing room with Ronaldo when the Portuguese superstar returned to Old Trafford for a second spell and is clearly influenced by his former colleague.
But as an Argentina international there has been diplomatic pressure to drop the Ronaldo references and err more on the side of his international captain Messi. Sunday's events appear to show that it will take more than just a few gentle suggestions for Garnacho to change his ways.
