Joao Felix has boldly claimed Al-Nassr will be "closer to the title" in the Saudi Pro League this season, with the Portuguese thriving in an "amazing" team alongside countryman Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 sounded a "we want more" message after helping to extend a perfect start to the 2025-26 campaign, with Felix very much on board when it comes to trophy chasing.
Perfect start: Maximum points for Al-Nassr
Al-Nassr have picked up nine points from three games, registering 12 goals in the process. Five of those were recorded in a convincing victory over Al-Riyadh last time out. Felix and Ronaldo bagged a brace apiece as Jorge Jesus’ side made light work of derby rivals.

Ex-Atletico Madrid and Chelsea forward Felix was named Player of the Match for the second time this term, with the 25-year-old saying of his flying start to life in the Middle East: "My team-mates make the things look easier. As a team we are amazing and then individually we have a lot of good players. And, if we keep doing well as individuals, the team will go well as well. And if we are all together, we’re going to win game after game, and we will be closer to the title."
More to come: Al-Nassr just getting started
Felix, who has five goals after netting a hat-trick on his Saudi Pro League debut, went on to say of Al-Nassr putting down an early marker to their rivals: "We are doing a good job; game after game we are getting better. Today we did a great match. Unfortunately, we concede one goal; we don’t like to concede, we like to keep the clean sheet. But, in general, we were very good."
Trophy target: Ronaldo wants tangible success
Ronaldo, who continues to chase down 1,000 career goals, believes that there is more to come from Al-Nassr. He has won just one trophy since moving to Riyadh in 2023, but posted on social media after putting in another eye-catching performance: "3 wins in 3 games. We want more!"
