Leeds were promoted to the Premier League on Easter Monday after routing Stoke 6-0, which included five first-half goals, along with Burnley beating Sheffield United 2-1 to seal up the automatic Championship promotion spots. A day on from all that drama, United States international Aaronson basked in the glow of their achievement.

Alongside multiple photos of Leeds' victory over Stoke and the promotion celebrations, he wrote on Instagram: "Yesterday was a day to remember #MOT."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Aaronson returned to Leeds last summer after spending last season on loan at Union Berlin, instead of trying to get the Whites out of the Championship at the first time of asking following their relegation from the Premier League in 2023. The 24-year-old, who was not a popular figure for leaving the Yorkshire outfit, has had his doubters amongst the fanbase, but a return of nine goals and two assists has won many supporters over at Elland Road. He has more than played his part in Daniel Farke's team ascending to the English top-flight and quite rightfully lapped up the celebrations on Monday.
