Everton manager Marco Silva has neglected to include Morgan Schneiderlin in any of his last four Premier League matchday squads. Since summer signing Andre Gomes has reached full fitness, the Frenchman has been ousted from the first-team picture at Goodison Park.

However, given Schneiderlin’s woeful form, this is a justified decision on Silva’s part. As things are, the fee of up to £24 million that the Toffees paid to sign the midfielder from Manchester United (BBC) – where he had been a major flop – looks to have been a huge waste of transfer funds.
Everton would now be wise to cut their losses on the underperforming 29-year-old. If the Merseyside outfit are serious about mounting a challenge for European football then Schneiderlin is the kind of deadweight they must be rid of.
Everton fans certainly seem to have given up on the 15-cap France international, with 91% of those who took part in our poll stating that they believe Schneiderlin to have no future at Goodison under Silva. See the full results below.
